Senior vice president of Firefox went on saying that..

We believe that in order to truly protect people, we need to establish a new standard that puts people’s privacy first.

Firefox is also offering privacy features like - content blocking and tracking protection in Incognito mode since a long time, that automatically blocks tracking content found on a web page.

Mozilla Firefox always respected user's experience and their privacy and been really serious about it. Firefox being open source, their only motive is to provide more and more enhanced user experience to its users.

The Official Mozilla blog further read...

Firefox will be rolling out this feature, Enhanced Tracking Protection, to all new users on by default, to make it harder for over a thousand companies to track their every move. Additionally, we’re updating our privacy-focused features including an upgraded Facebook Container extension, a Firefox desktop extension for Lockwise, a way to keep their passwords safe across all platforms.

For all the new users who choose to install Firefox, this enhanced tracking protection setting will be activated as default by standard setting protocol that will block third party blocking cookies present on a website that you visit.

Here is what Mozilla has to say about their enhanced tracking protection update...

Enhanced Tracking Protection will be practically invisible to you and you’ll only notice that it’s operating when you visit a site and see a shield icon in the address bar next to the URL address. When you are on a news site and reading an article, you often see Facebook Like and Share buttons. Our Facebook Container will block these buttons and all connections to Facebook’s servers, so that Facebook isn't able to track your visits to these sites. This blocking makes it much harder for Facebook to build shadow profiles of non-Facebook users.

Mozilla Firefox is coming up with a new privacy and protection enhancement update which will make its users more secure against the third party cookies and tracking elements on different web pages.

Facebook Container is also undergoing a major update that will allow Mozilla to block Facebook tracking elements that track the user's activity on a website on which that Facebook element is embedded.

Android Q Deep Press support to be rolled out in new Upgrade

April 30, 2019
We've leaks and rumours about Android Q deep press function. But Google has not officially said anything on it and neither on when their 2019 Android upgrade i.e. Android Q and when will Android Q get published officially.

But we've traces that its official stable release is probably going to be rolled out in the third quarter of 2019.
Before that, there will be different beta versions, that will be pushed to some particular devices.

Android Q Deep Press
iPhone's 3D touch
We probably may get more details at Google I/O developer conference which is scheduled for may, later this year.

Of Course, it's the pixel line up which is going to be the first device in the party to get the Android Q update. But for the other devices, it may take a while.

Android Q Beta Program

Since the latest Android version is still cooking. And is in the beta version even though the beta program is made available for the Pixel users.

Pixel users just need to get to the Android Beta program Website and sign in with their Google account. And then just follow up the prompts on their phone to get over the air beta download.

Android Q's second beta version is available now but is only for developers preview. It is not completely ready yet to be rolled out to the global devices.

Android Q deep press

The Android Q documentation revels the add on of a new feature to the Android environment, which is to be called as deep press.

This is somewhat similar to Apple's 3D touch.

What is IOS 3D Touch?

3D touch is a pressure sensitive functionality introduced by Apple from their iPhone 6 and later lineups that uses a capacitive sensor which is integrated into the display that senses the amount and degrees of pressure excreted by the user and responds accordingly.

3D touch is usually used for quick app functionality, where you just tap and hold the app icon for a while and it launches a quick toggle of the app's most useful functionality to access and execute useful commands without having to open that app.

Android Q is coming with a deep press update in the third quarter of this year, which will give you the freedom to directly launch some useful app features just by pressing and holding the app's icon for a while.

It is somewhat similar to the 3D touch support that apple is providing in their iPhones since 2015.

This will directly launch that feature after opening the app by itself. The user will have no need to firstly open the app and then go for that functionality.

This will not only improve the Users Experience ( UX ) but will also save some micro seconds for the user. Although Some microseconds doesn't count in this vast 24 hour scale. But at the end of the say, something is better than nothing.

Google will discuss more on Android Q in its Google I/O developer conference, which is scheduled from May 07 to May 09. And will be held in Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.

Inbox by Gmail is signing off at the end of March 2019
Google's message on their Inbox's website

What is Inbox by Gmail?

Inbox by Gmail is an email service, developed by Google, which was initially announced for an invitation-only basis on October 22, 2014, and was publically released on May 28, 2015.

It was accessible through web and android or ios mobile apps as well, which put a scope on improving email productivity by providing certain features like bundling and gathering emails with same topics together, highlighting main key details from an email, reminders, assists and snooze functionality.

After certain updates to the services, was added a "Smart Reply" feature that automatically generated short replies as the suggestion for certain types of emails. Later on, it was also integrated with Google Calander for event management and a save to inbox feature that let users save links for using it later in the near future.

Gmail's revival of Inbox

Gmail inherits Inbox's essential features
Inbox is not completely going away, The last Gmail update had been the revival of Inbox where Gmail went some cosmetic and algorithmic changes, since then most of the useful features from the Inbox is integrated within Gmail like -

> Snoozing emails: Snooze emails and reminders to temporarily remove them from your inbox until you need them.

> Nudges: Gmail moves old messages back to the top when it thinks you want to follow up with them.

> Hower Actions: Quickly taking action by hovering the mouse cursor over an email, without having to open that email.

> Smart Reply: Gmail shows certain phrases with particular types of email to reply instantly, without having to type anything.

Yet another Google service is about to shut down along with the sunsetting of Google Plus, but Inbox is not off completely, as its most of the important features are already imported into Gmail. So Google does not think there's a need for an app that scans your Gmail and does certain things when Gmail is already capable of managing those tasks by itself.

Google Doodle celebrates 30th Anniversary of World Wide Web
Google Doodle celebrating 30th Anniversary of the Web

What is World Wide Web?

As the name suggests, World Wide Web or the Web is the space on the internet, where different types of information, data or document is identified or accessed by Uniform Resource Locator ( URL's ).

For Example, Suppose you move over to Google to search about your favorite music artist, say Eminem and the Eminem's Wikipedia page comes up.

Eminem's Wikipedia page

So in this case, this address:

is the location of the information that you're accessing about Eminem. We call this web address a URL. And the collection of all these information, files, videos or data makes up the Web. So, everything over the internet, is all the part of the Web.

A brief history of World Wide Web

An English Scientist, Tim Berners-Lee invented the WWW in 1989. He also wrote the Web Browser in 1990 while he was an employee in CERN.

When it was in its early days, the Web used mainly two languages for its development, HTML and CSS. HTML is a markup language that tells a web browser, where and how things should show up. Likewise CSS is a styling language to manage the on-page styling, look and the behavior of HTML elements.

But these days the Web is now more developed and more advanced which uses some powerful front and back end languages like, Javascript, Python, PHP and SQL to manage more complex tasks like watching videos over Youtube, Chatting with your friends on the Facebook or even while reading this article, there are some complex languages and systems that is continuously cooking for you under the hood.

World Wide Web proves out to a boon to the man kind, making our lives so easy and steady. Everything that you surf or use on the internet is a part of the Web. On this occasion since its launch, in 1989, Google celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the World Wide Web with a Google Doodle.

Your Google+ Account is going away - Everything you need to know

February 25, 2019
Alright, folk! Lets each of us, pick-up roses and walk up to the funeral, it's sad :( but true .. Google+ will be no more with us.

This all started when Google rolled out an email update to its users in the early February, stating, " Your Personal Google+ account is going away on April 2, 2019".

Google plus is going away
Google plus is eventually sunsetting :(

What actually happened to Google+?

Earlier this month Google sent out an email notification to all of the Google+ users about its decision on shutting down their social media service.

Although, They originally announced their decision on shutting down Google+ in April 2019, back in December 2018 itself. But now this email finalizes the verdict that Google+ is now really going away.

Google plus shutdown email
The E-mail Google rolled out to the users

Google said in the email, "On April 2nd, your Google+ account and any Google+ pages you created will be shut down and we will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts."

The Confusion

Google is really the king of the internet and has so many services running out there that it creates a little confusion over the Google plus shutdown.

Google Plus was a Google's approach to social networking that didn't bloom that much, So only their social networking wing is going away.

Nothing is happening to the Google - Search Engine, your Gmail and the other Google Services that you use.

What things are going away?

01. Your Consumer ( Personal ) Google+ account and the pages you created. After February 4th, All the Google+ accounts, pages and communities creating options were seized.

As Google clearly mentioned in the email, " As early as February 4th, you will no longer be able to create new Google+ profiles, pages, communities or events "

02. The photos and Videos from your album archive.

03. Google+ sign-in button that lets you sign in to any website or service using your Google plus account. But you will still be able to sign in with your Google Account.

04. Google+ Comment options from websites. This feature is already removed from Blogger. And from all other sites, this feature will leave as early as March 7th.

All of the Comments done using Google+ Comment option will be deleted starting, March 7th.

05. On the other hand, Google plus for G-Suite is not going anywhere.

Why Google+ is saying GoodBye?

Well, in Google's word's, they say, " We announced our decision to shut down Google+ for consumers in April 2019 due to low usage and challenges involved in maintaining a successful product that meets consumers' expectations. "

So probably the low usage is the possible cause of sunsetting Google Plus.

Bonus: Download your Google+ data
